I graduated in Translation and Conference Interpreting (English and German) from the University of Trieste. A Rotary Foundation Scholarship holder, I attended the Monterey Institute of International Studies (now Middlebury Institute of international Studies at Monterey, California), where I was awarded a Certificate in Simultaneous and Consecutive Interpretation EN/IT and IT/EN.
During my career as a translator-interpreter I have traveled extensively and visited the entire Anglosphere. I have worked with Chiefs of State, Nobel laureates, leading Italian and foreign companies, with well-known writers, philosophers, historians and scientists, with orchestra conductors and opera singers and with artists, actors and filmmakers. My experiences have been both rewarding and educational and were possible only because of my love of languages. Words are the songs that unite us. Words are bridges across cultures, bringing us the joy of mutual understanding. Words are gifts that open the unlimited blessings of our worlds.
The knowledge of languages is a powerful weapon for mutual understanding, acknowledgment and respect. I am a lifelong learner. I recently passed the Sommelier Certification and I am now a member of the AIS (Associazione Italiana Sommelier). Expo 2015 will give me the opportunity to provide visitors and operators with language services that combine the beauty of Italian and the clarity and brevity of English with the taste and magic of wine.
